Item DescriptionKeep time with military precision while adding a unique edge to your wardrobe with the Citizen Eco-Drive Men’s Chronograph Canvas Watch. Featuring the clean look and the rugged dependability of a stainless steel case and bezel, this timepiece relies on the unique Citizen Eco-Drive movement system, so you never need to replace its battery. Eco-Drive is an advanced, technical system that uses a thin solar panel under the dial to convert light energy from any source into electrical energy used to run your watch. Also playing a key role in this unique system is a special energy storage cell that greatly increases the efficiency and dependability of using light as a power source. As an added benefit, Eco-Drive power doesn’t utilize the harmful chemicals contained in traditional batteries, so it’s an excellent environmental choice as well. The watch features a black dial with easy-to-read Arabic numerals in white, a convenient date window at four o’clock, a slim second tracker on the outer dial, and three subdials that provide chronograph functionality along with the ability to track hours on a 24-hour scale. The dial is further offset with luminescent minute and hour hands and a sweeping red seconds hand. Even the cool canvas band on this watch offers ultra-detailed construction. In addition to featuring a sturdy buckle clasp that relies on steel-reinforced eyelets, the band is backed with leather, which provides added durability and results in a pleasant feel against your wrist. This versatile men’s watch is water resistant to 330 feet. *Charging information : Functions of this watch may not work correctly if the watch is not charged, or charged properly. The chronograph function of this watch is able to measure and display elasped time up to 59 minutes, 59 seconds in 1 second units. After 60 minutes have elasped, each of the chronograph hands automatically stop at the 12 : 00 position.
*Note : Do not subject the chronograph to strong impacts while chronograph timing is in progress. Subjecting the watch to a strong impact during chronograph timing or when the chronograph has stopped automatically after 60 minutes have elasped can cause the chronograph minute hand to shift out of position. If this happens, press button (B) to reset to the 12 : 00 position before using the chronograph again.

I have been wearing this watch all day everyday. The watch is very durable. The band, that comes with it, is an olive drab and very comfortable and strong. The eye holes, on the band, are spaced wider apart so the fit is not as exact as I would like it. Just took a little while to get used to. The face is wide and the numbers are easy to read. All the smaller hands are fully functional. The red timer hand is great. The timer resets itself after sixty minutes. This watch even has a date readout. All in all this watch is very comparable to more expensive ones. I own an Omega and this watch’s functioning is very similar.
Let’s start by saying this MEN’S watch would get a very solid 5 stars if it wasn’t for the fact that the wrist strap is more suitable for a WOMAN’S WRIST.
PRO’S:
Looks great!
Feels great!
Keeps time great!
Legible dial is great!
CON’S:
The WRIST STRAP!
The WRIST STRAP!
The WRIST STRAP!
Really, Citizen, if you have any interest in your customer’s, couldn’t you have fixed the WRIST STRAP on this otherwise excellent watch by now??? It’s not like no one has written about this problem yet.
I’m 6′2″ and under 200lbs. This watch suits my frame very well. The watch is proportional on a man’s wrist and would probably look a little out of place if worn by a WOMAN. And yet, the WRIST STRAP is obviously sized for a WOMAN’S WRIST!
I can only wear this strap on the very last notch. Curiously, the notches begin just one inch away from the bezel. This provides excellent adjustment if your wrist is the size of a child’s wrist.
Citizen…are you out there? Anybody home? Hello?
In light of the reviews complaining of the short band, I thought I’d try this as a women’s watch! Fits great, with 3-4 watchband holes to spare on either side. I love its large numbers and sporty outdoorsy look.
I love the watch BUT? What so ECO about it “batteries” that need to be produced and then disposed of? I know that before I bought mine but I’m sure a bunch of tree huggers that bought one didn’t!
I’ve owned this watch for about 3 months and the watch has functioned well in every aspect. The one drawback being the size of the strap and the placement of the rivet holes on the band itself. My wrist is about 7 1/2″ and I have to use the second to last rivet hole on the band. If you have a 8″ wrist or larger you will have to change the band or find a different watch as this one will not fit you. The band almost seems like a “youth” sized band. With that being said I really love this watch. The fact that it doesn’t run on a battery or need to be worn to work (i.e. automatics) was a big selling point for me. I own battery powered quartz movements along with mechanical and automatics so I was looking for something different and I found it with this watch. The watch keeps excellent time and has a very long reserve power supply. Also very easy to read even in low light conditions.
