I am a new apple user and have always admired the apple as far as smoothness and design and honestly they have always operated just as good if not better than any PC I have ever owned. A couple of things I do miss from windows as far as the task bar being able to switch in and out of different programs and the control panel simplicity. But I am overall very happy with my Imac it has performed much better than any PC at this point and I have put everything that I can on this mac that is compatible. It took about 3 weeks to learn almost everything that I was missing from windows. The best thing about getting my mac was the experience at the apple store. They knew what they were talking about and answered all my questions I had a lot better than any store you go to to get a PC. The screen is big enough for me and is very bright and you are able to see everything. the keyboard and mouse was very easy to use the only con with the keyboard is it does not have the number pad though they offer it the keyboard with the number pad isn’t wireless. The mouse is awesome. So easy to use and smooth it’s something I am use to now and feel weird when I use a regular mouse. The websurfing is the same as explorer and the email on the imac was so simple to connect to my web email that I use that instead of having to go to the website to check my email. I am looking to get a macbook pro now for when I travel. Yes the price is high but for what you get I feel I paid for the quality and design of this great machine. I don’t doubt one bit of purchasing this apple and it has been very easy to learn and once you get the hang of it you’ll never go back to a PC again.
Learning a new system is always difficult for a short period. Now that I have had some time with my new iMac all I can say is that it puts any PC I have ever had to shame. The computer is awesome! I love my iMac. Worth ever penny I spent.
I purchased this computer and received it a few days ago. I have never operated a Mac. However, I was absolutely fed up with my 1200 dollar windows laptop , that I purchased less than a year and a half ago. It has been repaired 3 times already and I found myself saying well isn’t it great that dell comes to my house to repair it when it breaks. Then I realized it would be even better if I had a machine that did not need repair several times each year. Enough of my anti Dell/Windows rhetoric. This machine is sleek, from the moment I took it out of the box its physical design was, well, amazing. But I am not that shallow and looks were not enough to convince me that I had made the right move. The screen is by far the crispest screen I have seen on any computer. The sound I mean where the hell are those speakers? Wherever they are they produce a powerful and clear sound with deep bellowing bass and sharp treble. But on to the operating system, initially I was nervous and having windows withdrawal. I did not know how to do anything, for the first five minutes. After watching just 2 videos about switching to OS X on [...] I was understanding exactly how to do what I wanted to. Even more is that when they say that things work just how you feel they should, they are not lying. I am a Mac user of 2 days and I am fluid in my day to day tasks. From downloads and finding things stored on your mac you will find that OS X is amazing and intuitive. Many times I have been unsure of how to do a certain task and I just thought how it should be done and lo and behold it worked. That was probably the moment I converted. From loading files to social networking sites to sending email and surfing the web I am happy with this computer. I will never be going back to a windows operated system.
For years i used a pc this is my first mac, its money very well spent.Easy to set up and very user friendly. I will never go back to a pc.
LOVE this computer – fast, sleek, awesome. It just works… no crashes. Excellent support with Apple care. Highly recommend.
